All
People
At The Church at BattleCreek we have
a balanced approach to missions. We are
actively involved in missions here in
Tulsa, America, and the world. This approach
is taken directly from scripture in Acts
1:8. It is our belief that Jesus died
for all people and we seek on going ministry
among those who don’t know him.
While having a three-fold purpose we are
very focused in what we do in order to
have a maximum impact wherever we minister.
Local:
Church on the Street- Giving to those
who can’t give back: We seek to
meet people’s practical needs with
a good meal in order to earn the right
to share Jesus. We pass out food and have
an evangelistic service in low income
areas of Tulsa.
Benevolence Ministry (Safe Harbor)- This
is another practical ministry that provides
food and clothing to those in need. We
use this as an opportunity to share the
love of Christ. On average we help around
30 families a month with their emergency
needs.
Gospel in 5 Languages- It is our goal
for all of our children at TCABC to be
able to share the gospel in five major
languages by the time they are in 5th
grade. We want to instill in them at a
very young age that God cares about the
whole world.
Prison Ministry- We are in prisons all
over Oklahoma sharing the gospel every
week.
Deaf Church at BattleCreek- This is the
only Deaf Church in this part of Oklahoma.
This mission church meets in our west
hall and has a deaf pastor so they are
able to meet the unique needs of deaf
people and their hearing family members.
Agua Viva- This is one of the largest
Hispanic Missions in the Tulsa area. They
meet in our west hall on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Every one is welcome, but this is an all
Spanish speaking venue. We minister to
over 100 families a week in this ministry.
International Students at TU- This is
a way for us to reach the world at our
doorstep. Through this ministry we can
reach people from all over the world without
ever leaving Tulsa. It is said that 80%
of the world's leaders are trained in
the U.S. It is our goal through this ministry
to see these leaders come to know Christ
and take the Good News back to their unreached
countries.
Back yard Bible clubs- These are Bible
Schools specifically for children in low
income areas. We want to provide a fun
and safe environment for children from
all social backgrounds to experience the
love of Christ. We hope to reach over
250 children and their families this year.
National:
Partnership with churches in major cities
(New York, Las Vegas).
Radio Broadcasts in unreached area (Same
cities as church plants).
International:
Strategy Leader for Coptic of Egypt: We
are working with the International Mission
Board as the Strategy Leader for the 8
Million Coptic who live in Egypt. The
Coptic are the largest non-Muslim minority
in Egypt. They can be compared to Orthodox
or Roman Catholics in their beliefs and
practices. It is our goal to see these
8 million people enter into a saving relationship
with Jesus Christ. We are involved in
church planting and a very strategic micro
business platform for supporting the church
starts.
Church plant in Brazil: In our short
history as a church we have already successfully
started a church in an unchurched area
of Brazil. We are currently working with
this church to reach their community and
to train leaders to reach the world. Our
last trip to Brazil we saw over 150 people
pray to receive Christ.
Other short term missions: In addition
to Egypt and Brazil we have short term
ministry opportunities available in Mexico
and Russia.

All
Ages
Preschool:
"In the Beginning" (Birth-4
years old) - The beginning of a child's
life is most critical. At The Church at
BattleCreek, we love and care for children,
birth through three years of age, through
"in the Beginning". We have
a wonderful staff of volunteers that enjoy
spending time and playing with these children
every week. We make sure the children
know that God created them and that He
loves them with all His heart.
"Treasure Island" - Treasure
Island is a full-blown interactive worship
experience for children (3-5 yrs old).
It is a wonderful environment set on the
beach of Treasure Island where kids sing
and laugh and learn about the love of
God
See more information on our Preschool ministry here.
Children's Ministry:
"Kids Club" (1st-5th grade)
- Kids Club is a family production for
K-5th grade where the family laughs and
learns together. Each week, the students
and their parents come together for a
30 minute production involving music,
drama, multimedia and crazy games all
evolving around a
specific virtue for the month. This is
“church” for elementary kids.
They love it and the parents do too. A
lot of the material is aimed at the parents
to make Kids Club for the entire family.
The parents use Kids Club to support their
children in their relationship with Christ
by being there with them every week. We
call it a shared experience. Kids Club
is also used as a way to lead and teach
their children throughout the week.
See more information on Kids Club here.
Student Ministry:
"Student Ministry" (6th-12th
grade) - The student ministry exists to
connect 6th-12th grade students to God,
to their peers, their community and the
world. We want to create environments
for teenagers to get together in a positive
environment and do what all students do
best: have a blast! The student ministry
at The Church at BattleCreek does this
in four different ways. First, every Wednesday
is a service where the music, the games
and the message are relevant for teenagers.
Second, the student ministry connects
students with each other through small
groups that meet every Sunday night. We
prepare kids to be leaders in the church
and in the community through SLI (Student
Leadership Institute). Here students are
taught the skills they need in order to
be all they can be for God. Lastly, we
create special events throughout the year
that students simply do not want to miss.
Whether it is summer camp, lock-ins, our
infamous ‘Big Night,’ Quarterback
Challenge, or a mission trip to Russia,
our desire is to impact the lives and
hearts of students in the Tulsa metro
area.
See more information on the Student Ministry
here.
Singles Ministry:
"Singles Ministry" (Singles
of all ages) - The singles ministry exists
to reach and meet the needs of all singles.
Whether it is the single who has never
been married or one who has been divorced,
we want to provide an environment for
them to develop friendships with other
singles and grow in their faith. The singles
at The Church at BattleCreek get together
weekly for fellowship and a message that
is practical to the life of a single adult.
We believe that singles are an integral
part of The Church at BattleCreek and
want to see them achieve all that God
has in store for them.
See more information on the Singles Ministry here
College Ministry:
"College Ministry" - The college
years are the first time that young adults
are independent and making their own choices.
Because we realize the importance of these
formative years, we want to build a college
ministry that reaches the many campuses
in the Metro area and provides an environment
for college students to connect to other
students, have fun, and grow
in their faith all in a positive environment.
We want to be a family for students, most
of which are on their own for the first
time, and that is why we have designed
a weekly environment aimed at meeting
the needs of college students.
Married Adult Ministry:
"Married Adult Ministry" -
The challenges that couples face today
can be scary. They are expected to make
it in the world financially, have a successful
marriage and most of them will decide
to have children. There is a need for
couples to be able to share life’s
experiences with other Christian couples.
We have created an environment for them
to be able to interact with other couples
on a regular basis, develop friendships,
grow in their faith and feel a real sense
of family within the church. Our community
groups at The Church at BattleCreek exist
for those reasons. It is a weekly time
for couples to get together in the home
of a host couple where there is food,
fellowship and a short bible study. We
have almost 30 groups to choose from that
vary in location of where they meet, night
of the week, generational mix and subject
of the bible study. Community groups are
the place to truly connect to The Church
at BattleCreek and there is one for every
couple.
See more information on Community Groups here.
Senior Adult Ministry:
"Senior Adult Ministry" - We
have an exciting and thriving senior adult
ministry at The Church at BattleCreek.
There is a senior adult class that meets
every Sunday morning where there is music
and a message tailored to meet the needs
of senior adults is shared. There is a
real sense of community as the senior
adults gather for fellowship, prayer and
a desire to serve God through The Church
at BattleCreek. Our senior adults are
active in the life of our church, in their
service to God, and His kingdom by being
involved in ministries throughout The
Church at BattleCreek.

All
The Time
Because we are purpose and
process driven, we believe it is T.I.M.E.
to Tell,
Involve, Mature
and Empower
people to advance in their journey with
Jesus.
"Tell" (Outreach)
- To tell people in Tulsa, America and
the World about the love of Jesus. The
bible word for Tell is Evangelism, which
simply means Good News. We have good news
and a whole world to tell.
Our primary “Tell” strategy
is to Invest and Invite. We believe it
works very well for all of our people
to invest in unchurched people and invite
them to one of our services where they
can meet Jesus Christ.
"Involve" (Connection)
- We are not a church with Community Groups
we are a church of Community Groups. We
feel that all believers and non-believers
alike need to be connected to a Community
Group. There is no other place to better
be connected than to go into a home and
meet other believers and non-believers
that share the same struggles and frustrations
in life that can pray and encourage each
other along the way.
"Mature" (Discipleship)
- We believe that each believer needs
to go to the next level in their walk
with Christ and that there need to be
programs in place to help you grow. Just
as a weight lifter can never stare at
the weights and get strong, neither can
you as a believer stare at the Bible and
grow in your faith.
"Empower" (Service)
- We know that Jesus did not come to be
served but to serve and this is why we
consider service a core value of TCABC.
We believe every member should be plugged
into a place of service. We have many
places to serve at TCABC, there is a place
for you. We believe each member is a minister
to be empowered into ministry (Romans
12:6-8).

Advance
"Advance in their Journey"
(Rite of Passage) - The Church at BattleCreek
exists to help people of all ages take
the next step in their walk with Christ
in order to develop fully devoted followers
of Jesus Christ. In order to accomplish
this we want to meet the needs of parents
and assist entire families in pursuing
a relationship with Christ. It has been
said that societies are destroyed one
family at a time. The Church at BattleCreek
believes they are rebuilt the same way.
There are three ways we want to assist
families to be all they can be for the
Kingdom of God.
#1 We are developing a ministry that helps
men and women create a blueprint for the
marriage they want and give them the goals
and the skills to build upon that blueprint
for a long and lasting marriage.
#2 We want to provide couples with the
encouragement they need to succeed in
their marriage by matching them with a
mentor couple who has been married for
a number of years to strengthen them and
offer support when needed.
#3 We want to partner with parents to
help them raise their children to Christian
adulthood. We have strategically developed
Rites of Passages for key ages (entering
elementary school, entering 6th grade
and high school, etc.) to celebrate students
taking their next step towards adulthood
and maturity. This all leads up to a 30
day mission trip where their teenager
returns as an adult.
The Rite of Passage process is designed
to build up the family along the lines
of the spouse’s individual walk
with Christ, the marital relationship
and the parent/child relationship. The
Church at BattleCreek will assist the
parents by providing quality ministries
for their children to grow and reach their
next Rite of Passage. While the Rite of
Passage is designed to begin ministry
to couples on their wedding day, it can
be applied to any couple. Our desire is
to help families take the next step in
their journey with Christ.
